JACK CREVALLE (Caranx hippos), also known as crevalle jack, jack, common jack, black-tailed trevally, couvalli jack, black cavalli, and yellow cavalli, is a common species of large marine fish classified within the jack family, Carangidae. Jack crevalles are closely related to both the Pacific jack crevalles and the longfin jack crevalles, the latter of which have been extensively confused with true jack crevalles until recently
