OCELLATED TURKEYS OCCUR IN THE YUCATAN Peninsula of Mexico, in El Pet n of northern Guatemala, and in western Belize. The species does not occur farther south in Central America or in South America, and no longer occurs in the Mexican states of Tabasco and Chiapas. Its present geographic range encompasses an area about the size of Florida. There are very few in captivity and the species has never been domesticated.
